The 5million and 50 odd thousand pound park

For well over 6months us Hemel bmxers have been hearing rumors that a big indoor park were gonna be built in Hemel Hempstead !
Well those rumors may have come true! Last month Destructions Paul Mckeown , ScubaSteve and Nick from Death Skateboards, attended a meet regarding a Indoor facility, to be built in Hemel Hempstead,
We arrived at Hemels sport center and were greeted by the chef executive Dave Cove .
Dave explained that his team had been working on this for a while and that 5Million pound had been raised to build a indoor BMX/Skate facility on the land between Tesco's and WALLY World, He showed us 2 sets of plans and well we were all a little gob smacked ,nothing was said we just all looked at each other in amazement , a indoor park bowls/pool and a quality wooden park all inside a 3 sided state of the art building , the conversation about "Extreme Connections" continued for over a hour, with us all agreeing that the only thing that mattered was the quality !!!!
Dave finished up telling us "if all goes well it would be started in early 2010 and finished 2011"

Well looks like Dave Cove is a man true to his word ,he 100% believed in our sports and this project and by the looks of this weeks gazette Dave and his teams work paid off,

People the planners gave the go ahead to many of our Dreams , a indoor facility , in our home town

This is really Good news for hemel and the surrounding areas Bmx and Skate community, most of us dedicated to these sports are regulaly traveling 1 hour plus just to ride a half decent indoor park ,in fact i no skaters who go to Blackpool just to skate
Good time's our coming for Hemels BMX and Skate community,We spent Years and 8+years raising funds for a park, 56k later and the park that some said would never get built , got built ! 6yrs later , and we may Possibly have one of UK's finest Indoor parks built in our home town. , Wow

Corby Sesh again.

Today we hit up Corby again , the place where cheers and fun have been replaced by what use to be called trick ferrets, riders training for some competition ,that no one knows about!

Bring back the Noise and the smiling faces that parks use to have!

Anyways the place were rammed as it always is on a rainy Saturday , We Had a 40miniute wait for a breakfast ! not good! but we had made an effort so as usual we had laugh and made enough noise to annoy all !
